jeongyeon was born november 1, 1996 in suwon, south korea. she is 22 years old.
her birth name was yoo kyungwan, but she legally changed it in the 3rd grade.
she has two older sisters, actress gong seungyeon and yoo seoyeon.
jeongyeon got accepted into both sm entertainment and jyp entertainment in 2010, but decided to join jyp.
